New adventure – “The Champion’s Test” – has begun.
Most of our last session was spent on OOC actions and the adventure exposition, but you did manage to do a thing or two in the labirinth after all…
- You received a color, a number, and a chose youself a name (Mickey took the time to draw your [very beautiful] emblem).
- You met your rivals in the game.
- You entered the labyrinth, spotted a table with six caskets on it – each with a group name, and opened the casket with your group name on it, findin 10gp, and a note that says:
- Dear competitors,
At least you have the common sense to take whatever help you are offered. I congradulate you.
To pass the Champion’s Test you must not only reach the other side of my labyrinth, but also collect certain items – or forever be trapped within its walls.
Yours,
Baron Bendigeidfran Casswallon Sasqwuamit
Supreme Ruler of Mamphfang & Environs
Master Creator of The Champion’s Test - You entered two empty rooms, where Ivillious did some very impressive tracking.
- Verena decided to use prying eyes to make your life in the labyrinth easier. Next session you’ll see if she succeeded.
- You all entered the lair of an adult red dragon, where Loran and Forint did the wise thing and ran, while Verena decided to delay, allowing the dragon to move first – a thing that he did with gusto – first, taking to the air, and then breathing fire on Verena, leaving her as a nice pile of ashes on the floor. Ivillious scoops up her remains and runs our of the cavern, yelling to Seamore: “Run for your life!” on the way. Seamore, shaken by the dragon’s frightful presence, waddles out of the room as fast as his short feet and full plate armor allow him.
- Seamore begins mourning the loss of Verena, when cool headed Ivillious tells him to stop whining and start looking for a cleric “It isn’t over yet!”. Seamore uses locate object (a very useful spell, that) to find the nearest holy symbol in the area (that isn’t on him). Surprisingly, he finds one in a room not far from the entrance.
- You find a cleric to Lathandar there (god of morning and rebirth), and after much persuasion he agrees to raise Verena from the dead, in exchange to your promise to compensate him for the costly materials (you now have to obtain 5,000gp for him, as soon as possible).
- You ended the session standing with Verena, well and alive, in the room with the cleric, who has been in the labyrinth for “many terrible years” as he puts it.
