House Rules

This page is a work in progress. I haven’t updated all our house rules in it yet.

  • No Death from Massive Damage.
  • Trapfinding is a feat.
  • Alignment Definition (a clarification).
  • Individual XP rewards. XP is rewarded for PC interaction, NPC interaction, Alignment compliance, ideas and solutions, conflict performance (how much you contributed to the encounter) and overall role-playing (how well you played the character you created).
  • Specific Critical Hits.
    • On a confirmed critical the DM rolls on the relevant critical hit table: Crush, Puncture, Slash, Martial Arts, Large (against large foes), Huge (against huge or larger foes), Heat (fire), Cold, Impact (force and sonic), Electrical and Acidic (if there will be a need for a holy table, it will be added).
    • This also works against the characters themselves.
    • The roll is d%+5 x Str/Dex/Int/Cha bonus, up to a maximum of 4.
    • Example: Tristan hits a Troll with a heavy mace with a natural 20. He confirms the critical hit. His relevant score is strength and is 20 (a +5 bonus). The DM rolls on the Crush critical table and not on the large critical table, because Felix cast Enlarge Person on Tristan before the combat began. The DM rolls d% and gets 72 to which is added 20 (the maximum score used is 4, so it’s 5×4) totaling to 92. Consulting the Crush Critical table the DM says “You hear a sickening crackle and snap as you crush at least three of the Troll’s ribs. That’s triple damage, stunning your foe for 1d4 rounds”.
